A peace fell over me I never knew, as I stood inside that Sunday School room, listening to the children sing “Jesus Loves Me.” My father had just dropped me off at a random church, then went to the VFW to drink. Who would have thought that this would be the beginning of my faith journey? I had no idea who the Jesus was they sang about. I had no idea what it meant to have Jesus in my heart.
