Roman was born in Russia, but moved to Ukraine several years ago. When the fighting started – he decided to defend his new land.  As his brigade marched thru a shelter, he ran into Ksenia – & that was it.  Fell instantly in love – & the feeling was mutual.  & so there in the midst of war, Roman had his brigadier commander marry them right on the spot!  A natural-born Russian & a Ukranian tying the knot in a war zone.
