Friends In High Places

“It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s (WHAT?) … “How you play the game!”  Maybe just as important as what happens during the game – is what you do AFTER the game is over.

Ty & Jack became best friends when they were both about 13 & played on the same little league team.  As they grew up, they ended up at different high schools, but remained close.  Both played on their h-s teams, & those teams met for a chance to go to the state championship.  You couldn’t write a better script.  It’s the bottom of the 9th – 2 outs – Ty is on the mound, & his best friend Jack comes to the plate.

When the ump called “Strike 3” – Ty’s teammates burst out of the dugout to mob him on the mound, but Ty made a beeline for home plate, where he found his friend Jack with his head down.  He hugged him – he lifted his head – he spoke life into him & walked him back to his dugout – THEN joined his team to celebrate.

Maybe winning isn’t everything after all. Share that with a friend today - Find the story HERE.
