Alpenfest Week

We are ready for a great week at Gaylord's Alpenfest Celebration this week. The staff of The Promise FM is attending the Honor's Luncheon on Tuesday at noon at The Otsego Club & Resort. We are sponsoring a queen's candidate, Shay Brooks and we will turn out enthusiastically for her on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm for the Queen's Pageant on the Main Stage downtown. Fred Young, our morning host will be broadcasting live from the Alpenstrausse from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and 3:00 to 6:00 pm Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Also, please join us for an open house celebration of our remodeling project at the station. We have completely updated the inside of our radio station, after 30 years, it needed alittle freshening up, we are so grateful to Jason Card, who did drywall repair, and many other handyman jobs for us, to Brian and Kristie Sennett who did all the wall paper striping and painting in the entire upper level, then to Art Van Furniture of Gaylord who donated our new furniture for our lobby area, thanks also to Home Depot who gave us extra dollars off on the paint and supplies. Then, we topped it off with new carpet from Alpine Carpet, thanks to Shannie and the great installers there. We received a special donation to pay for the carpet which we are so thankful for. Our old carpet had duck tape over the runs in it, and the whole building was plastered with yucky wallpaper that was 30 years old. We have moved into the 20th century and it has lifted our spirits and motivated us to work energetically.  Join us this Friday, July 15th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the station for hot dogs, hamburgs, potato salad, chips, and all the fixin's for an open house picnic celebration!! Finally, we will be in the parade Saturday, July 16th at noon driving the Promise FM vehicle, and that will cap off a very busy and full week with The Promise FM impacting our community for Jesus Christ. We hope that everyone has a chance to attend Alpenfest if you are in the area, and if you do, stop by and say hi to us.
