Don’t give up

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." ~ Galatians 6:9

My mom always said anything worth having is worth waiting for and worth working for. Sometimes we work for a long time in the wait, but don't give up on that wait. Often it is most challenging just before that breakthrough.

Losing weight which is my battle right now. At first, you can cruise along at a pretty good clip. Still, the plateau hits, and that is when you need your resolve the most because it is going to get hard, those efforts that were working are have left you now at a standstill. Okay, it could be just me.

So what can you and I do when we find ourselves at that standstill? Do we give up because, frankly, we could be doing nothing right now and have nothing in return?

Or...

Push through. Pray. Keep God in your plans, my friend, because He has a purpose for you in them. And your efforts? Maybe readjust a little. Tweak the things that worked with a little something extra. Just don't give up. Because I promise you this, you will be glad you held on. You will see victory. It may be farther away than you thought it would be, it may be closer than your setback would have you realize, but it will be sweet. And the journey with our God will always be worth it.

Cheering you on from here!
