You Can’t Spell America without “Meri”

Meri Mion was born in Italy, & back in 1945 she was getting ready to celebrate her 13th birthday – her mom had made a cake & everything – but a garrison of US soldiers was making their way thru the area. Battered, beaten, and hungry.  And they ate Meri’s birthday cake.  So last month – on her 90th birthday – the US Army replaced that cake.  I love that.  It isn’t always the BIG things that make a difference – it’s the little things.
