Praising God for He is a Good, Good Father

Well, we are very thankful for last week. We had a fantastic turnout of prayer volunteers, phone volunteers, and staff and consultants, and our faithful listeners all participating in our Fall Day's of Promise, semi- annual gift drive. It was such a blessing to see the donations come in, I believe it was one of our busiest gift drives, the phones were ringing like crazy, people coming into the station to drop off checks, businesses sending us breakfast and lunches. We are all very tired after working 12 hour days for the week, but it was well worth it. We set a goal, we did not quite reach it, but we are very happy about where we ended up, and we are trusting God to continue to provide the funds we need to be on air. Some people find it awkward to ask for money, but we do not. We are a listener supported ministry and if we did not ask you, we would not be on the air. We play all year round with no commercials, but twice a year we spend an entire week asking for your support. We are so grateful for the loyal listeners who  will support us monthly and faithfully send in their donations. We are planning many great things for the last quarter of this year, and of course we made the announcement during our Day's of Promise about the Matt Maher Concert on December 9 and 10th in Gaylord and Cadillac. We are very amped about this event. We are the sole sponsor of this concert and it is a huge undertaking for us. Pray for us as we continue to lay the details of this out. We hope that you will plan on bringing your family for a special Christmas Concert that will bless them and become a real highlight of your year!! We know it is a highlight for us!!As we head into the fall time and the leaves are changing, we have many things on our calendar. This week Jenny heads down to Lansing to attend the Franklin Graham event, Decision 2016 in Lansing on the Capital Steps. We expect thousands to attend and show up to pray for our country and for this presidential election in November. The deadline to register to vote is October 11th. Please vote, it is a very critical election as the Supreme Court is as stake. The next president will appoint one possibly two judges to the Supreme Court, and that will determine whether the court leans conservative or liberal in its decisions. We are looking forward to Veteran's Day and the many special events planned for that day. Please remember our veteran's in your prayers, as we meet monthly with them at the Gaylord Regional Airport for coffee, we are really learning from them and appreciate what they have done and how forgotten they can be. Special thanks to Matt Barresi who started this monthly coffee, it is a huge success.Thank you again for participating in our Day's of Promise, and for supporting our ministry here and all that we do. Surely  "God is On The Move" and we are grateful to be in "the Movement!!!"
