Get to Know: Pat Scott

Pat Scott on a Promise FM Trip to Israel

Pat's Testimony

I grew up in a loving Christian home with 2 wonderful parents and we attended a very large church in Detroit. I heard the story that Jesus loves me when I was a young child and around the age of 5 I accepted Jesus into my heart and committed to live for Him!

How did you get into radio?

A close friend of mine and the General Manager of The Promise FM invited me to come and interview for a position. I accepted and began working in the Donor Development area back in March of 2013. I quickly realized that I finally arrived where I could use the gifts and talents that the Lord equipped me with and I have never looked back.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:6-9

What's your favorite childhood memory?

One of the fondest memories I have as a child is our summer vacations with my family we spent in Caseville, Michigan. It was a magical time for me away from the “Big City” on the water spending time like kids do exploring, just enjoying life without a care in the world!

What's your favorite food and why?

The perfect steak cooked on a Weber Grill.  I love cooking outdoors on the grill because there is nothing better than the flavor that comes from charcoal!

What's your favorite hobby and why?

I recently joined the local Sportsman’s gun club and I enjoy going out to shoot and meet new friends, I learn so much from others.
