Doughnuts for Veterans

This week Ellie and Jenny and Pat from The Promise FM attended the monthly meeting of Veterans at the Gaylord Regional Airport. On the first Wednesday of each month the vets gather to fellowship and get updates on veteran related activities. The Promise FM provided the doughnuts and gave away a $50.00 Gift Certificate to Bennethum's Northern Inn. There were about 65 in attendance. It is a wonderful gathering of vets, friendships and sharing are certainly a blessing that are resulting from this event. We are so pleased to be a part of honoring the local men and women who have served our country and we truly do thank them for their service. Matt Barresi is the Director of the Gaylord Regional Airport, and this was his idea to host this event monthly for the vets. The airport usually supplies the doughtnuts and Bigby Coffee donates the coffee. The Promise FM is focusing this quarter on our website and with on air interviews on veterans.
