Blessing Bucket Match
During our Days of Promise Gift Drive, we’ll be donating 10% of every gift to go towards blessing buckets.
What is a Blessing Bucket?
To someone who has lost everything, a Blessing Bucket provides the first and possibly the only belongings they may have. Physically, it’s a 5-gallon bucket filled with essential supplies for the first few days after a disaster. Emotionally, it’s a “hug” from a stranger, so they know they’re not alone. Spiritually, it is Hope from God and helps them know He loves them and is with them.
What is inside a Blessing Bucket?
It’s a 5-gallon bucket filled with 27 items, including non-perishable food; hygiene items like toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, towels, toilet paper, and wipes; first-aid supplies; a Bible, and a hand-written, encouraging note.
Who/where receives Blessing Buckets?
God’s Pit Crew distributes Blessing Buckets domestically and internationally. For example: to Mississippi, Houston, Georgia, and Alabama after the recent tornadoes; to Houston after Hurricane Harvey; to Louisiana after Hurricanes Katrina and Ida; to Poland for Ukrainian refugees.
How many Blessing Buckets have been distributed after disasters?
In the past 5 years alone, God’s Pit Crew has distributed more than 105,000 Blessing Buckets to those in need.
