There’s beauty in being vulnerable
2 Corinthians 12:9 "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
We like to be strong, don't we? Okay, it could be just me. But I like to be strong. I want to be the one to help someone else through a tough time. I want to encourage others. It isn’t that I want to be a hero, I just care a lot about people and after years of needing encouragement, I want to give it freely and often.
I don't like being weak because that is a place where I feel vulnerable, and hurt can happen in vulnerable times. But I am learning that something special happens in those vulnerable times as well. God meets us so beautifully in our vulnerable moments. He shows us a caring that I think is hard to see when we do it on our own.
Our God ministers to us all the time. He keeps us safe. He cares for our needs. But man, when we are aware of our need in a big way, we can't miss God in action. So for you, my friend, if you are trying to be the strong one, know you are appreciated, as you are that rock for others, but it is also okay to be weak too. God is there for you. In all the places.
