Declutter challenge - Day 9

Clutter Challenge (1).jpg

You know, I’ve decided we are decluttering together even if it is just me who is all excited and maybe you being like, “Awww that’s just precious. She is so messy!” I really do love all the guidance from Taryn Williford from Apartment Therapy. The bite sized pieces are just perfect!

DAY 9 - DO A 20 MINUTE DECLUTTER IN YOUR KITCHEN

Today our challenge is to do a timed 20-minute declutter in your kitchen.

Like the entryway and the living room declutter days, grab a laundry basket, toss a grocery bag in it for garbage, and set a timer for 20 minutes. Start going through your kitchen and ditch the items that are ready to hit the trash, put things in your basket that have no business being in your kitchen like my Fitbit bands- I just bought a pack to replace a broken one, and yep, they are still in the kitchen none on my wrist.

Taryn recommends keeping out of the fridge and food drawers. Stick to cabinets, drawers, counters, top of the fridge, hutch, and those places where we store things like measuring cups and cooking tools. If there is anything broken, get rid of it; maybe you have several of the same items ask if you need all of them? If you can part with some, donate them. I’ll be honest, though. I need my three potato peelers because they tend to disappear before reuniting once a month.

Super easy right? You can still sign up at Apartment Therapy and of course check the blog list for older posts.
