Declutter challenge - Day 7

Today is quite possibly the day that I full-on wasn't expecting, but really should have, and frankly, yikes! When the email came in from Apartment Therapy for the Declutter Cure, I looked over at my entryway and gulped - seriously gulped! As I thought about this, I saw that my mail basket is loaded with books, envelopes, greeting cards, etc.

DAY 7 - DECLUTTER YOUR ENTRYWAY

Oh, my friend, today cuts to the quick. Seriously. Day 7, we are challenged to declutter our entryway for 20 minutes. Set a timer for 20 and then go to town. So grab that laundry basket and maybe a grocery bag for garbage and go! Get rid of any trash, junk mail; if there are several pairs of shoes out there, move them, keeping in mind if it doesn’t belong, move it along. You will feel so much better! When the timer goes off, do not feel stress if you still have lots of stuff to remove. You are already better off than you started! You can start a schedule at some point to make this a weekly occurrence. Put the garbage in the garbage and anything that can go in the Donate, Sell, or Maybe boxes from day one go for it. And of course, move the other stuff to where it belongs. If you find things that belong elsewhere, put them away, and enlist your kiddos to help if you have them.

Taryn has a list of 20 things to look for and move along at Apartment Therapy. Head over there to learn more, and you can still sign up for the challenge too!
