Swan Dive

If I were to ask you what a hero looks like, what comes to mind? Maybe it’s something like Batman or Captain America. Maybe your mind goes to soldiers, or police officers, who put their lives on the line to protect us. May I also suggest Massiah.

It was last month in California when a little 3-yr-old boy slipped off the edge of a pool & into the deep end. A couple of moments later, Massiah Browne came out onto the deck – saw the little guy - & dove in; Grabbed his arm & pulled him back up to the surface. That’s probably what most of us would have done – but did I mention Massiah is only 7 himself!!

By the time he got the littler guy up, adults were waiting & paramedics were on their way. The little boy is fine now. Massiah’s mom & dad say he's been swimming like a fish since he was 3 – & he never hesitated, `cuz he told them “that’s what heroes do.”
