A NICE RING TO IT

I don’t know about you, but one of the things my mom & I used to do, when she could, was go blueberry picking.  Our town had a blueberry festival every year – there were 2-3 big berry farms right close by, so we had our pick of the litter, so to speak.

I get the idea that Dave Radley had a similar childhood.  Dave’s a retired engineer now – but back when he was 21, he was picking berries with a friend when a really special ring slipped off his finger.  His mom had given it to him for his birthday, & he looked everywhere to no avail.  That was back in 1968.

Last month a guy with a metal detector heard about it – went out to the berry farm – & FOUND THE RING.  54 years after it fell off his finger.  Dave went on to say his family was pretty poor back then, but this ring is worth about $8,000 now - so he knows his mom sacrificed to be able to give it to him. You can read more of Dave’s story HERE.
