A Friend Indeed

Do you remember who your best friend was when you were 12? Do you know where they are today?

Irene grew up in a small town in England, married a guy in the Royal Navy, which meant lots of moving around thru the years. That was exciting for a while, but it made it hard to develop long-lasting friendships, & she longed to find a friend like Janet. The 2 of them had been inseparable growing up, but had lost touch.

After Irene’s husband passed, her health started to fail a little, at least her children didn’t feel comfortable leaving her home alone for long stretches of time. So they looked into a senior home nearby. As she was getting her footing in her new place, they held an event; & as she turned a corner, guess who she bumped into: Janet.

The 2 of them hadn’t seen each other in 60 years – but her in the sunset of their lives, God has brought them together again to pick up right where they left off. You can find their heartwarming story HERE.
