Cross International in Action
We are so blessed to share with you again an opportunity to make a life changing difference in the lives of children and families who Cross International serves all over the world. Below is a little bit about the need that Cross International is meeting thanks to you.
1. A gift of $62 helps a child with lifesaving resources like food, water and Bibles.
2. 228 million African children live in extreme poverty – that is 75% of the world’s poorest children.
3. 1 in 3 Africans live in extreme poverty, on less than a $1.90 per day.
4. Poverty experts say that ending global extreme poverty begins in Africa and with Africa’s children.
5. More than 40% of children under the age of 5 are suffering from chronic malnutrition.
6. What does thriving mean? Thriving kids are: healthy, have access to clean water and nutritious food, disease-free, hopeful, learning and loved (spiritual development helps them to understand and know the love of Christ).
7. None of the stories reported on the nightly news do enough to capture the true gravity of the issues impacting Africa. Children and families are suffering--and there is an immediate need for life-saving resources like food and clean water, and of course, Bibles.
8. Cross International understands that the best opportunity for kids to thrive is to help create stable families, stable communities, and lives that are built on a strong foundation of faith in Christ.
9. The efforts Cross International supports address the whole child: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
