With the recent heat wave washing over northern Michigan, and much of the world, let us praise God for His love and mercy… especially the mercy of decreased temperatures! Sun or shade, let us rejoice in all He has done and has in store for you and your Promise FM’s Summer of Fun!June was an event “full” month for The Promise FM between the incredible Wings Over Northern Michigan air show in Gaylord and Big Ticket Festival. BTF brought you so many great artists and opportunities to praise God! The Promise FM sponsored and presented you with Thursday headliner Matthew. What an amazing night it was, with the gospel of Jesus Christ presented by Matthew with his father Joe West closing in prayer! If you had the chance to stop by The Promise FM tent you might have seen Sofa Series guests Matthew West, Building 429, Sidewalk Prophets, Sanctus Real and Aaron Boyd just to name a few! After BTF and upon our return to the office, we had 35 written prayer requests to lift up together! Festivals and concerts are always fun, but you should know the reason why we strive to be at as many as possible:“I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks to Pat and the Promise FM team that was at UCMF this past weekend.  My daughter Abby was celebrating her 16th birthday and you blessed her with a meet & greet pass to meet Matthew West.  I never could have predicted it at the time, but that one little wrist band kicked- off an amazing turn of events which ultimately led to "the best birthday ever".  As I'm sure the Promise FM team noticed, my daughter is not quite like other teens.  She lives with a number of chronic health issues that can limit her ability to maintain an activity level consistent with that of other teens.  Over the years she has found so much comfort and strength in listening to and performing worship music and has really developed a love for the contemporary Christian music concert scene.  This weekend, you gave her so much more than an opportunity to meet and have her picture taken with a performer....you gave her the opportunity to feel like a "normal" teen and for that, our family will be forever grateful…  We will be Promise FM fans for life.  Thanks again, Kendra”The opportunity to shine God’s light and encourage and pray for each other is the heart of The Promise FM and having Promise FM’s Summer of Fun is one great way to get to meet you, pray for you, share with you and encourage you!
