Your Promise FM’s Summer of Fun is winding down as together we trek into August. What an amazing thing God is working during this season for you and listeners like you! We are rejoicing, praising Him for the success of your Promise FM’s Summer of Fun and praying favor over the conclusion of summer and autumn just around the corner.July brought you some great summer weather and brought us some opportunities to meet more of you! The Promise FM kicked off Alpenfest with “A Night of Praise” with headliner We Are Messengers and opening acts Neshama and Alive City. What a great night to reach those who might not have heard the gospel.The Promise FM was also part of the Worship on the Water in Charlevoix, July 22 with headliner Brothers Walker and featured bands "As Husband and Wife" and the Community Reformed Church led by Ted Polleys. It was a great night to enjoy some “revival rock and roll,” including original roots based tunes which are centered on the gospel.Summer festivals and concerts are fun, but you should know the reason why we strive to be at as many as possible:“I was just having some issues at work and it kept me up at night. I was dealing with it all night and then in the morning I was still dealing with it. I remember it as clear as day, I was listening to you. I listen to you every morning. You had talked about getting up and you were whining to God about the snow and then you decided to turn your whine into praise and just give God the glory and then you read a verse from 1 Corinthians and I don’t remember the verse, I wish I did, but you read a verse about how God loves not just us but those that persecute you and give you bad days and your just talking about giving God praise in all aspects of your day. At that point I just said a prayer “God I am just giving this all to you.” At the end of the day I had to message you guys and just let you know I had such a great day and just to let you know how thankful I am for taking that moment to say those words and read that scripture that I needed to hear at that moment because it just made me feel that God’s right there and He’s listening. –Heather”The chance to shine God’s light and encourage each other is the heart of The Promise FM.
