New staff, busy schedules, exciting happenings!

What a great summer it has been so far! The weather here in northern Michigan has been the best I can remember in a very long time. The Promise FM has really taken advantage of the summer opportunities and we have traveled! After the Big Ticket Festival, we went to Hale, Mi. to the Iosco County Fair, then we went to the Alpena County Fair, Fred and Jenny are doing a fair tour across all of our listening area. Our Executive Director Pat Scott and Fred Young our Program Director/Morning Host spent four days at Unity Fest in Muskegon. Fred and Jenny were back at the fair tour last Friday at the Otsego County Fair, where we got dumped on like crazy from the much needed rain!! As the tent began to blow and the computers were getting wet, we decided to pack it up after an hour and a half. We did get to interview Abby Rajalia, the Otsego County Queen. What a lovely young lady, she is a senior at Gaylord High, and she asked for our prayers about her plans for next year, she would like to get into Michigan State, and she is waiting to hear. Fred has been going every Wednesday morning to the Farmers Market downtown Gaylord under the pavilion to broadcast live and it has been alot of fun for him. He really loves meeting the people out on the street, so thanks for stopping by and saying hi to him. This summer we have a new hire on staff, Gina Dewey from Cadillac is working on Community and Business Development for the Cadillac region, she is married to Tim, and they have two daughters. Gina has worked running a dance school for Irish Dancers, and she has a Dog Sled business with her husband. She is a very busy energetic person who has lived in Cadillac for many years and is familiar with the community. We are very excited to have a staff person on the ground there who can attend the chamber events and be a local contact for us. We look forward to adding additional staff in the coming years to all our listening area. Please keep this in your prayers as we expand and grow, that we follow the Lord's leading. Gina has been very busy, she attended The Depot Music Festival and The Call to the Wall, an event of many of the area churches which was hugely attended. The Promise FM was pleased to give out CD's and gifts and be a part of these great events. Look for our presence in Cadillac much more in the future, we are growing and we are blessed to be actively out and about. Our last fair stop will be in the UP at the Chippewa County Fair Sept.2nd. State Representative Phil Potvin will be on air this Friday, August 26 at 8:00 am, this is the last of our series, " The Road to Decision" Jenny went to Lansing last week to meet with the Billy Graham Evangelical Ass. about the October 4th event with Franklin Graham, Decision America 2016. We are racking up the miles as we travel across the state, and we thank you all for your support and encouragement as we meet you and hear your prayer requests. Remember, you can always submit a prayer request online at our Prayer Works link, you can call our station or send a note, we will always pray for you immediately.May God Bless the remainder of your summer and the preparation of the school year, our children and grandchildren are our greatest joy and privilege to pray for!one last signiture BFT 2016genaSound man and crowd small
