November is  upon us, and we have been so busy out and about in our listening area we are just amazed at the great things God is doing! We finished up October with our Farmers Market outings on Wednesdays. We went to Cadillac and Mio for Jay and Laura LaFoon Date Nights, and they were so fun!! Marriage is under attack in our country and families are being destroyed as a result of it. Anytime we can focus on God's view of marriage and seek to strengthen and encourage marriages, we are all blessed! That is why we were at the Harvestfest at the Gaylord Evangelical Free Church on the 31st, a wonderful event for families to come together at church to enjoy each other and be exposed to a safe event that is hosted by Christians reaching out to the community. As Pastor Scott say's, they meet people where they are, and move them to where God wants them to be". Fred Young and Pat Scott broadcast live from Harvestfest and Miss Ellie and Miss Carol were at our "Promise FM" table working the prize wheel and handing out lots of special prizes for our guests.This month we will be every Wednesday broadcasting live from "Life Church" in Gaylord. Life Church is located right on Main Street downtown. It used to be an old movie theater building, and is a great location for people to come and hear the Word of God, experience great worship music, and have some fellowship and coffee at "The He-Brews Cafe"Pastor Steve Scheer will be there with Fred Young and many guests who will stop by and have a donut and coffee. Jerry Bellanger, the principal at Gaylord Middle School was there this week to tell us about the Veteran's Program coming up on Veteran's Day, Friday, November 11th at the Middle School. This is the 20th year Jerry has been hosting this nationally recognized program and he especially wanted to invite peacetime veteran's to attend and veteran's from all over Northern Michigan. Fred Young will be there broadcasting live and we are very excited to be a part of it this year.As we get closer to our big event in December, the Matt Maher Concert on Friday December 9th and 10th, we want to urge you to get your tickets soon, they are selling fast, and we want you to be there!! This is an awesome family Christmas event for you and a great gift opportunity to share with someone else. Tickets are so affordable, only $12.00 for general admission, you can purchase them online.
