Take that step
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Today I saw this little meme picture with stairs, and it said. “You don’t have to see the staircase; just take the first step.” Sometimes that first step is hard for me because I do think beyond it. You might say I ruminate, flip the thought around and around to the degree that I camp out on end results without knowing them, mind you, and then I can be paralyzed with moving forward. I provide details and the finish without even knowing it. And the thing is, God knows the finish. And here’s the thing, if God put us in front of the staircase, we can confidently take the step. He’s not leading us to destruction. All his plans are good.
Today if you have a staircase ahead, can I encourage you to take today’s step and then take tomorrow’s. God will take care of the rest.
