Some fun tips
Eggcellent DIY Bathroom Scrub (sorry I had to)
This tip absolutely surprised me. You can make a bathroom scrub for your sink and tub with eggshells. The key is to get them all ground down. The fastest way to do this is a coffee grinder which if you don’t have, they aren’t terribly expensive. I don’t have a special recipe but from what I gathered wash your used shells up really well. Then let them fully dry. You can even do this by putting them in the oven at a low setting like 175 for a while and keep stirring them up. Smash them up in your coffee grinder (don’t worry about them messing up your coffee, people put eggshells in the grounds all the time). Add the perfectly ground shells to some white vinegar to make a paste and clean away!
Savory Sore Throat Relief
This is the season when sore throats come out of nowhere and that means you may not have something on hand to help with the soreness. Try plain salted potato chips. Seriously it not only makes the sore throat feel better, but it is pretty good for clearing the throat when your voice sounds scratchy.
Ways to give back!
Got Crayons?
You know the drill, back to school means new supplies, which can mean out with the old. Well, if the old for you is a plethora of crayons, before tossing them out, check out the opportunity to donate them. The Crayon Initiative will melt down used crayons and make new awesome crayons that they then donate to area children’s hospitals. You can get involved by hosting a crayon drive in your school, neighborhood, or really anywhere you want to gather together to make a difference.

Soda ya want to help your school?
Wow, that was bad, but the opportunity is good. I don’t drink a lot of soda or pop, but I have friends and family who do, and Coca-Cola has a way where you can bless your local school with your bottle cap codes. It used to be called My Coke Rewards, and we got the reward in the form of contest entries and magazines, but now you can donate those cap rewards -5 cents each!- to your school and other causes. It only takes a few minutes to do, and it can really add up for your school.

Boxtops are still a thing-well kind of.
Box Tops for Education is still a thing, but now, instead of having to cut and clip and REMEMBER to get those labels to your school, you can scan your receipt with their unique Box Tops for Education App. The nice thing is that you don’t have to worry about the clipping and the finding. It will scan all the items, and your school will get all the credit.
