Let’s catch up - Week of July 13 (Reasons to bring pets to the office)
This week we spent a lot of time at Gaylord’s Alpenfest. It was so much fun getting a chance to be mobile with the studio, and get a chance to chat with everyone who stopped by. If you couldn’t make it, no problem, we have sticker stops coming your way. In fact, our next stop is Friday, July 23, 2021 from 3 to 5 PM at Bill’s Farm Market which is located at 4450 E. Mitchell Road - Petoskey. Here’s a link to our upcoming sticker stops.
Super cool opportunity for the taco lover in your life! Of course, that taco lover might be you. If you are all about Taco Tuesday, Taco Thursday, and even Taco Saturday, then McCormick is looking for you. Well, at least someone just like you for their Director of Taco Relations which if I understand this right is a four-month gig for, I believe, $25,000 a month. You will do some heavy taco lifting and sharing. Enthusiasm, social media love, recipe enhancing are all a part of the game. The deadline to enter is July 20, 2021 11:59 PM Eastern time. So hurry up. Here is the link to learn more.

Take your dog to work - all the time.
More and more people are returning to the office but also asking if they can bring their pets. It may seem like an odd idea, but there are a lot of good reasons to have a pet in the office. I worked in an office that had pets visit and honestly it was the best! Here’s a few reasons:
-We take much-needed breaks because our pet needs them. This can also be helpful when going through a work challenge. A little time away from the challenge helps us see it with fresh eyes.
-Pets increase office camaraderie. We all bond together when bonding over an office pet or pet visitor.
Want to talk about it with your boss? Here’s a great article from USC online full of those pet benefits in the workplace.
