Like Son, Like Father
When have you almost done the wrong thing?
Justice Smith had just picked up his 5 yr-old boy Justus from school and was on his way home when he stopped at a traffic light. There was a homeless man there, but Justice didn’t have any cash, so he was going to leave his window up. His son, though, had 30¢. Dad didn’t want to embarrass the man but his little guy was insistent.
So dad rolled down the window and said “I don’t have any cash, but my little man in the back wants to give you everything he has.” The man was incredibly grateful – and that would be enough of a nice little story - but then something happened.
More than a dozen cars that followed in line stopped and gave something. On a green lite. There was no honking – No impatience – just empathy and generosity - that all started because dad listened to his son, & the son gave his all.
If you’d like to read his whole post about it, the full story is HERE.
