Let’s talk to our Camps!

00

We are proud to have many camps affiliated with The Promise FM, we have ministry camps that serve specific needs of area children, such as Camp Live Laugh and Love, which is a grief camp for kids who have lost a significant person in their life. Lynn Totten was in the studio on Friday, June 3rd and shared with our listeners what they do to help kids through a very hard time in their lives. We had Jamie Bullis from The Chosen Ranch, a place for kids with no family, no support system, to live, to be accepted and to grow spiritually. They also conduct a local youth group for area teens to learn about Jesus. Lars Carlson from Youth Haven Ranch will speak on air about the kids who come to his camp, kids from foster homes, kids who can’t afford to go to camp, kids who need the love of Jesus spoke into their lives, kids who have an unstable homelife and threw the ministry of Youth Haven they learn the peace of God and have a base to reach out to for encouragement. Springhill, Pleasant Valley, Camp Lake Louise, Camp Barakel offer kids a week or more at time to come and enjoy the camp facilities, and learn about Jesus and how we need Him in our lives more than ever in today’s ┬áchanging culture. Scott Barger from Cran-Hill Ranch speaks on air with us on Wednesday, June 8th. and the Sponable’s from Pleasant Valley Camp in East Jordan will be on air live on Friday, June 10th, we look forward to speaking with these directors and learning about their camps. Please go to our Camp Slider on our home page and click on the arrow and it will direct you to our camps, you can click right onto their links from our page and it will lead you right to their websites. We have many great memories of attending church camp as a child, it gives the opportunity for your child to separate from mom and dad in a safe christian environment and to learn and grow personally in a setting that is perfect for kids. And of course the swimming, hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, and all the other special and sports events make it so fun they will have a blast!! If you are interested in volunteering as a counselor or helper at any of the camps, there is an application process and background check on their websites, please consider investing in kids. If you have any questions please give us a call here at the station and we will do our best to direct you. And if you feel so lead to donate to any of these camps financially, they are all non-profits and would appreciate anything you give. May God Bless the children of this area to have someone in their path who will direct them to learn about the saving┬ámessage of Jesus Christ, because that is so desperately needed.
