Gaylord Chamber Awards Banquet
On Tuesday, February 9th, I attended the Gaylord Chamber of Commerce, Awards Banquet held at Treetops Resort (which is one of our business partners!) It was a fantastic evening of celebration honoring local businesses and businessmen who so faithfully serve the Gaylord area. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner after mingling with many business partners of the radio station. Paul Beachneau welcomed over 200 attendees, Rev. Allen Ballard of Pigeon River Baptist Church said the invocation and then Mike Reling of 101.5 The Eagle was welcomed as the new board Chairman of 2016. The Awards Presentation included the, “You Made it Happen” Award going to Al Blackburn, of Meijers. The Gordon G. Everett Memorial “Bell Tower Award” went to Jay’s Sporting Goods, then the “Golden Pineapple” Award went to Joe Messenger of Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The “Patti Dobrzelewski Volunteer of the Year” Award went to Kari Jo Stefanski, Eagle 1015, the “Chairman’s Award” went to Dana Bensinger, Otsego County Community Foundation, and the “Ambassador of the Year” went to Eileen Tussey, Gaylord Hampton Inn by Hilton. The biggest award of the night, the Daune Weiss Memorial “Businessperson of the Year” went to Bobby McNamara, McNamara Insurance . Congratulations to all the awardees, but we especially want to point out our business partner, Joe Messenger from Gaylord Community Funeral Home. Joe has been in business for four years and has made a huge impact on this community with his wonderful personality and great work ethic, it is no wonder he won the customer service award, and we are very proud to partner with such a great businessman. We thank him for supporting us and we thank all of you for remembering Gaylord Community Funeral Home in your time of need, and we know you will receive the best customer service available!! We look forward to a great 2016 in the Gaylord area, and Cadillac, Sault Ste. Marie and East Tawas. Continue to look for us out and about in your communities. May God Bless the communities of northern Michigan with prosperity and peace.
